Gwen Whiting & Lindsey Boyd founded The Laundress in 2004 out of frustration with dingy white T-shirts, faded denim, and prematurely worn pieces. Dry cleaning and store-bought laundry products left their clothes loaded with chemicals. Knowing they could launder their wardrobes at home, they developed their own nontoxic laundry solutions! Faced with similar frustrations with inferior cleaning products and unwilling to use toxic cleaners, The Laundress next developed their own home cleaning collection—all available online.
