Whether you're a frequent migraine sufferer or you're experiencing a stress-related tension headache, acupuncturist Paige Bourassa is here to save the day. In this super-short video, Paige shows us three acupressure points and exactly how to "press" them to help get rid of that headache, stat.

The points Paige discusses are outlined below. Tune in to the video for more detail on exactly how to activate them and move your headache out of your body.

Large intestine LI 4: This acupressure point has many associations including dizziness, TMJ, headaches, sinus pain, facial paralysis and is the main point to treat pain in Chinese Medicine. Translated to "joining valley" in English, it can be found in the webbing between your index and thumb and induces a cooling, calming sensation.

Gallbladder 34: Translating to "yang hill spring" in English, the Gall Bladder 34 location is in the soft spot between the tibia bone and the knee cap on the outer side of the lower leg. This point helps with pain in the sinews and body tissue, transports acute pain down the body and disperses it and also helps with cramping, tension, and even paralysis.

Gallbladder 41: Gallbladder 41 is on your feet, right outside of the tendon in line with your pinkie toes. If you flex the feet, it pops out like a guitar string. To find the point, trace the tendon toward the top of your foot and locate a triangular notch on the outside of the tendon (toward the outer edge of your foot). This is called "foot falling tears" in English and helps with migraines and menstrual discomfort. It is a distal point for headaches, migraines, pain, cramping and breast / menstrual disorders.

Take deep breaths while you're putting pressure on these points, and visualize the energy of the headache moving down in through the body and eventually leaving it. Repeat as necessary, and you'll be feeling better in no time!
